Ep. 151: Get out of “The Reactive Trap” with your ADHD kid

You know that moment, you ask your kid to do something they HAVE to do…like brush their teeth. You get met with a reaction that’s far greater than the request. And within seconds you’re in a fight with your kid. Based on how many times you’ve been in this exact same fight, your nervous system is primed for the fight and you go round and round.

In this episode I share the FIRST most critical step to get out of “The Reactive Trap” by identifying your “Expectation Gap.” In this episode I share a few real life examples of how I got OUT of “The Reactive Trap” before getting into a fight over the really annoying things that are expected daily.
