No more hard mornings, bedtime is smooth most nights, way less fights & power struggles. My 9 year old daughter does what she’s asked without push back at least 50% of the time (which is a vast improvement from never).
I haven’t been hit, kicked, or bitten in almost two months! I actually enjoy spending time with my child again.

I’ve learned that lecturing in the moment doesn’t work, my mindset has shifted from “I have to confront this right now or they won’t learn the lesson” to “I’m not doing anything wrong, in fact I’m doing better when I can calm down first.” 

The board meetings have given us a new way of addressing challenging behaviors. Where I used to have a knee jerk, shame based “hey knock it off, don’t be mean” kind of response, the code word has given us all a moment to stop and do it differently.

Becky's coaching truly changed how I view my child's outbursts. Before working with her I was always trying to control my child's anger and always failing. This would send my anxiety through the roof, and even though I thought I was masking it, through the sessions I realized I was not. Becky was able to help me see that my anxiety around my child's feelings, big feelings, was adding gas to the fire. She helped me refocus my energy to what I could control in that moment, me. She gave me tools to narrate what I was feeling, my big emotions, in that moment and in doing so my anxiety dropped. I was able to breathe for both of us (another technique Becky introduced me to), and to stop trying to stop my child's feelings. In letting go of my control and naming my anxiety, my child's big outbursts happen less, and when they do I am able to ride them out in a much more centered state, and therefore my child's emotions are able to ride their wave and crest much quicker than before. I am so thankful to Becky. The anxiety before her coaching would bring me to my knees and I felt helpless. I now feel empowered and not scared of my child's feelings, or my own. Thank you, Becky. Everyone should work with her!

I joined the membership because I was looking for more loving, conscious communication, wanting new skills/tools to navigate the preteen and teen years, and because what I was doing wasn't working. Now, I am able to listen more and hold space. I can witness what is coming up within me in the situation and can access a deeper desire to be curious to facilitate connection versus correction/fixing. This was the missing piece to the work I have been doing on energy and consciousness.

I finished the 30 days inside Fast Way To Regulate and it is life changing. I really liked 10 steps of nonviolent communication(it works great with children and adults) and also liked the journal prompts, because I saw what was really going on for me inside…
It was intense and hard at moments, but I am very happy that I finished this challenge because I have a better relationship with my children and myself! Thank you!
